Eye calibration is part of the research study, so it's tied to your player ID. Open the main app to create an ID (or sign in), then come back here — your progress will be saved to that ID across sessions.
Go to the main appYou'll see pairs of colours from every family of the game's palette, one after another. For each pair you answer up to two quick questions: first “Are they identical?” — and if not, “If this were your mix, would you accept it as a match?” Some pairs are identical, some are obvious; most are subtle. There are no right answers and no feedback — just judge what you see.
It takes under 2 minutes. Best on a non-dimmed screen in even lighting. Do it across a few short sessions on different days — that's by design, and the picture of your eyes gets sharper each time.
Tip: you can also press 1 for yes, 2 for no.
Are they identical?
Pooled across all your sessions. The smaller the perceptibility figure, the finer the colour differences you can tell apart; acceptability is how far a match can drift before you'd no longer accept it.
